Phone Sales Representative Training
Welcome to the Doms Mattress Phone Sales Representative Program.
Phone Sales Representatives help Doms Mattress handle incoming customer calls. Your job is simple: answer the call, help the customer with general product questions, and guide them to DomsMattress.com to complete their purchase.
Representatives are independent contractors and earn commission on qualifying completed sales attributed to their individual Rep Discount Code.
Before You Begin: Review this entire training page, review the Independent Contractor & Compensation Guide, complete the Phone Sales Representative Onboarding Form, and receive your individual Rep Discount Code before handling customer calls.
1. How the Program Works
Doms Mattress receives incoming calls from customers who may find us through our website, Google Business Profile, online advertising, search results, or other Doms Mattress marketing.
Incoming calls may be routed to multiple approved Phone Sales Representatives. The opportunity is generally first come, first served. The representative who answers the incoming call assists that customer.
The Goal
The goal of every call is to provide helpful customer service and, when appropriate, guide the customer to DomsMattress.com to complete their purchase.
You do not need to pressure customers. Be helpful, answer questions using approved product information, and make the online buying process easy to understand.
2. What Doms Mattress Offers
Doms Mattress operates as an online mattress retailer. Customers place their orders through DomsMattress.com, and eligible products are shipped to the customer.
Important
Doms Mattress does not operate like a traditional local mattress store.
- No same-day local delivery.
- No local pickup.
- No showroom or try-before-you-buy option.
- No cash purchases.
- No representatives collecting customer payments.
Do not promise any service, delivery option, payment method, discount, or product availability that is not currently offered on DomsMattress.com.
3. Handling an Incoming Call

Answer professionally.
Introduce yourself and Doms Mattress in a friendly, professional manner. -
Find out what the customer needs.
Ask simple questions about what type of mattress, bedding, frame, or other product the customer is looking for. -
Use DomsMattress.com as your resource.
Review the website with the customer and use the product information shown there when answering questions. Do not guess about product specifications, availability, warranties, or delivery. -
Help the customer choose.
Explain the available options clearly and help the customer locate the appropriate product on DomsMattress.com. -
Provide your Rep Discount Code.
Give the customer your individual Rep Discount Code and remind them to enter it during checkout. -
Direct the customer to checkout.
The customer completes and pays for the order directly through DomsMattress.com.
4. Simple Phone Approach
You do not need to read a long sales script. Speak naturally, stay professional, and focus on helping the customer.
Example Greeting
“Thank you for calling Doms Mattress. This is [Your Name]. How can I help you today?”
When the Customer Is Ready to Purchase
“You can complete your order directly through DomsMattress.com. Make sure you enter my discount code [Your Code] during checkout so your discount is applied.”
Keep It Simple
Listen to the customer, answer the question they actually asked, help them find the right product, and guide them toward completing the order online.
5. Your Rep Discount Code
Each approved Phone Sales Representative receives an individual Rep Discount Code.
Your code gives the customer the approved discount associated with the code and also helps Doms Mattress identify qualifying purchases connected to your Phone Sales Representative activity.
Your Code Is Important
Make sure customers you assist know your Rep Discount Code and understand that they must enter it during checkout.
If your code is not entered and successfully applied to the qualifying order, Doms Mattress may not be able to attribute that order to you through the discount code.
Do not use another representative's code, claim another representative's customer, or ask another representative to use your code.
6. Commission
Phone Sales Representative Commission
Representatives may earn: 17% of the qualifying product subtotal on eligible completed orders attributed to their Phone Sales Representative activity.
Commission is earned only when a customer actually completes an eligible purchase and the order qualifies under the Phone Sales Representative Program.
Commission Is Based on Completed Sales
Answering a call, speaking with a customer, providing a quote, giving out your discount code, or helping a customer choose a product does not by itself earn a commission.
The customer must complete an eligible purchase for a commission to be considered earned.
No sale = no commission.
Canceled, refunded, fraudulent, disputed, chargeback, or otherwise ineligible orders do not qualify for commission.
Use of your Rep Discount Code does not by itself guarantee commission eligibility. All orders remain subject to review under the program terms.
7. Commission Payments
Eligible commission payments are generally reviewed and paid by ACH direct deposit on or about the 5th day of the following month.
Representatives are responsible for keeping their payment and tax information accurate and up to date.
8. Important Rules
- Be professional, respectful, and helpful with every customer.
- Do not claim to be an employee of Doms Mattress. Phone Sales Representatives participate as independent contractors.
- Use DomsMattress.com and approved company information when answering product questions.
- Do not guess or make up product specifications, warranties, shipping times, availability, or company policies.
- Do not guarantee sales, income, savings, delivery dates, or product availability.
- Do not promise same-day delivery, local pickup, cash purchases, or showroom services.
- Do not collect customer credit card, debit card, banking, or other payment information.
- Customers must complete their own purchases through DomsMattress.com.
- Use only your assigned Rep Discount Code.
- Do not claim another representative's customer or sale.
- Protect confidential customer and company information.
- Do not provide false or misleading information.
Remember
Your job is not to make the process complicated.
Answer the call → Help the customer → Direct them to DomsMattress.com → Provide your Rep Discount Code → Customer completes the purchase.
